Coir products represent a broad range that is manufactured from organic materials. Coco peat and husk chips are the leading organic components. Our coir-based products are from cocos nusifera. Sri Lanka manufactures coir products in facilities situated in the coconut growing triangle in the Northwestern Province of Sri Lanka. A Variety of products are being manufactured in Sri Lanka utilizing almost all components of the coconut palm. This palm is a tree of life in tropical countries and not forgetting Sri Lanka.
Studies conducted by many organizations on COCOPEAT have confirmed its properties for use as a soil additive. Being a natural product, it is in demand for export as a growing media. Coco peat is a homogeneous material composed of millions of capillary micro sponges that absorb and hold almost ten times their weight in water.
This material can be easily recycled back into the environment, thus helping to reduce the high cost for disposal of most of the synthetic kinds of materials used for growing.
